Primary Purpose

Process utility bills for payment.  Load pertinent data from utility bills to utility tracking software and monitor for anomalies.  Schedule HVAC for after-hours facility use.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record that is insurable with FISD insurance carrier

 
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of energy management program implementation
Ability to use building automation software for scheduling and set point ranges
Ability to implement policy, procedures, and data
Ability to use technology to implement budgets and purchase orders
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
 
Experience:
Preferred experience in energy management, data entry, or a closely related field

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Energy Management:
Monitor energy invoices for errors, compare usage data to determine billing errors, and use the open purchase order system to input invoice amounts for payment.
Input all of the energy use and cost data in our tracking software with a high degree of accuracy.
Become familiar with Laserfiche software and Portfolio Manager and how they are used.
Implement a setback program for all district facilities.

Monitor building automation controls for efficiency of HVAC and lighting systems, and change the on/off times for exterior lighting.
Assist in processing work orders.

 

Policy, Reports, and Law:
Produce reports as needed via utility tracking software.


Budget:
Assist in compiling the department budget.
Review and approve utility bills for payment.

Other Duties as Assigned

Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. May use small truck or van.  Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying. Occasional work outside.  Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
