Provide administrative and operational clerical support to truancy staff, ensuring the effective functioning of the truancy prevention and intervention efforts within the district.
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Skilled in working with software applications in use at Frisco ISD including Microsoft Office and GoogleDocs
Ability to develop spreadsheets and maintain databases
Demonstrated experience creating, formatting, editing, and proofing documents
Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to work independently and problem-solve as needed
Administrative Support and Workflow Management:
Establish, maintain, and refine internal workflows and organizational systems to ensure the efficient execution of department duties and accommodate evolving role requirements.
Prepare, proofread, and format written correspondence, forms, schedules, reports, and meeting materials using a personal computer.
Manage calendars; schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, hearings, and events as directed.
Support the timely preparation and submission of critical or time-sensitive documents.
Records and Data Management:
Organize and maintain accurate physical and digital filing systems for student records, correspondence, and departmental documents.
Perform data entry and verification tasks in internal systems and spreadsheets with attention to detail and accuracy.
Track students who have not re-enrolled or transferred, supporting dropout recovery and student engagement efforts.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive student, staff, and department information in all recordkeeping and communication.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Use district communication systems to coordinate with stakeholders involved in truancy tribunals, including administrators, families, and external partners.
Manage incoming calls and email correspondence in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
Maintain regular communication with campus administrative staff regarding weekly tribunal dockets and updates.
Truancy Tribunal Support:
Print, organize, and distribute weekly attendance reports for students scheduled for tribunal hearings.
Oversee family check-in and entry procedures on tribunal days, ensuring a welcoming and orderly process.
Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes during tribunal hearings or related meetings as needed.
Coordinate logistics for tribunal-related events, including room setup, materials preparation, and schedule confirmations.
Outreach and Campus Support:
Create and distribute attendance-focused content for school newsletters to support awareness and engagement efforts.
Assist campuses in promoting attendance improvement initiatives by providing tailored messaging and materials.
