Primary Purpose

Serve as the initial contact and primary phone operator for the Natatorium.  Greet and direct visitors around the facility and serve as the primary registrar for programs. 

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases and word processing
Ability to prioritize workflow to address the multiple needs of the supervisor
Basic math skills
Willingness to collaborate with members of an office team
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to work independently and problem solve as needed

 

Experience:

Office experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting patrons, answering and directing phone calls, addressing customer questions and concerns, updating online calendar of events, and providing facility information to include class schedules, hours of operation, and facility policies.
Register participants for classes, camps, and activities by operating registration software, entering data, taking payments, filing records, and providing customers with pertinent information regarding the facility and their registration.
Process and receive purchase orders.
Prepare and submit deposits to the Athletic Department on a regular basis.
Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports.
Operate office equipment.
Assist with the development of brochures, signs, and other marketing tools.
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and the ordering of additional supplies as needed.

Other Duties as Assigned

Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying. May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional district wide travel. Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
