To safeguard the District’s investment in foodservice materials and supplies with efficient and effective warehousing practices. Establish and maintain warehouse stock levels to support Frisco ISD Child Nutrition requirements. Order, receive, store, issue, and ship food, supplies, materials, and equipment in the child nutrition warehouse.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Clear and valid TX driver's license and ability to be insured under school district insurance
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work effectively and independently within delivery schedules
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Must have experience with required inventory documentation to include receiving, organizing and recording temperatures and inventory counts
General computer skills including a knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the internet
Knowledge of inventory software systems preferred
Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
Ability to drive and operate delivery vehicles equipped with lift gates
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse or delivery operation
Foodservice warehouse and/or child nutrition warehouse experience is preferred
Maintain accountability over stock/inventory in the Child Nutrition Distribution Center/Warehouse.
Maintain accurate stock record balances by ensuring proper and timely posting of all receipts, issues, and/or adjustments affecting stock balances.
Maintain records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping food, materials, supplies, and equipment.
Establish and maintain stock control for assigned item numbers.
Monitor stock levels and determine when and how much to order to maintain continued support to customers (Sysco stocked items).
Track delivery schedules for due in stock, receive status from vendors, and coordinate with Warehouse Manager to resolve discrepancies or potential default situations.
Coordinate the return of damaged/incorrect products and obtain credits.
Conduct research to determine the cause of inventory discrepancies.
Ensure proper prices are reflected in software and that prices are reflected correctly based on unit of issue (broken/whole units).
Serve as final edit and quality control point for documentation of products flowing through the warehouse.
Assist in forecasting requirements.
Coordinate with purchasing staff to ensure products are on hand or on order to satisfy department requirements.
Operate small trucks to transport food, material, and supplies.
Pump gasoline and diesel fuel, check oil and water fluid level, provide routine under- the-hood service inspections, and clean windshields on District vehicles for service.
Perform routine cleanup operations in the service area such as sweeping and mopping floors.
