Ensure a high degree of safety and security for Frisco ISD personnel, visitors, and property.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Valid Texas driver’s license, providing insurability with the district insurance carrier
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
Ability to work under pressure in crises situations
Ability to work within a diversified culture
Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds without assistance
Ability to read basic operating instructions, write reports, and communicate with staff via radio and/or telephone
Experience:
3 years of law enforcement or related field experience
Ensure schools are properly and adequately secured by conducting facility checks and patrolling the district.
Report damages, unlocked doors or windows, and/or any unusual incidents at the facilities.
Secure buildings to prevent entry.
Maintain and clean district vehicle daily.
Maintain professional standards of conduct.
Manage emergency situations as they occur.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors within the line of authority.
Flexibility to work different shifts.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Ability to work in stressful environment. Work with frequent interruptions. Continuous driving from location to location. Work outside and inside. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Irregular hours. Potential crises conditions.
